First Degree Classes

First Degree students learn the history of Reiki and the twelve basic hand positions. They also practice giving a Reiki treatment to themselves and others. Each student receives four attunements (initiations which increase energy level) and receives certification as a First Degree Reiki practitioner. This is a practical, grounded class; graduates are capable of practicing Reiki immediately. Group Reiki sessions ("exchanges") are scheduled soon after every class to encourage students to continue working with the energy. Additionally, graduates may attend future First Degree classes at no charge.

First Degree training is taught on two consecutive days for four hours per day (eight hours altogether). Classes are scheduled several times a year when at least four students are ready; the price is $150. Second Degree Classes

After completing First Degree, students are asked to wait at least three months before undergoing Second Degree training so that the Reiki energy can become well-established in the system. Second Degree students learn how to work with Reiki for distance and emotional/mental healing, learn three symbols, receive two attunements, and are certified as Second Degree practitioners. Graduates may attend future Second Degree classes at no charge.

This course is taught on two consecutive days for three hours per day (six hours altogether). The price is $500. First Degree graduates from any Reiki tradition are invited to enroll in the Second Degree class.
